Weird as it sounds, it's already time to prep for Holiday sales!
October is flying by, and once Halloween passes Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here before we know it. I have been designing animal prints for the still trending Woodland theme. This year my designs have been very geometric/mod, and these animal designs are a nice break from that!
First I drew some cutesy deer and played with color schemes and textures..
I like the Deer on Linen or the sketch-looking one in black & white the best.
The foxes were very fun to draw.. I know foxes are huge right now, and with the Norwegian song "What does the fox say" being a viral hit, I'm guessing foxes will be the cool animal for a while.
The mod bunnies are definitely a different style, but I had an image in my head and went with it.
I'd like to see the bunnies on red as duvet cover for a little boy's bed. Wouldn't that be cute?
It took me many requests to finally start carrying crib bedding in my Etsy store. But since I started, that's been my biggest selling items. It is so much fun to work with Spoonflower's gorgeous Kona Cotton, and so fun to think that the colorful designs will decorate a kid's room somewhere!
When the bedding is picked, many people decorate the rest of the room to match it.
I'm still loving my hobbies with designing and sewing.
It's a balancing act to be a mother with a hobby that ends up being a part-time job, but so far I have not been overwhelmed. It's a nice steady pace! :)
Stay tuned for more sales in the near future! I will be listing more ready-to-ship items, and perhaps start selling stashes of my fabric leftovers??
